Another Way To Live

Have you ever paused and thought,
“This can’t be it. This can’t be all there is to life.”
Yeah, me too. More times than I can count.

That thought always seemed loudest right after what was supposed to be an “I made it!” moment.
And it’s not that I’m ungrateful or hard to please. I’m thankful for every gift and I know how to be present and truly enjoy a moment.
But still, deep down, I’d think: “There’s got to be more than this.”

It’s not just life milestones either—it showed up in relationships, too.
You know the ones where nothing’s technically wrong, but something’s clearly missing. Like the depth isn’t there. Like something sacred—something we’re meant to have between us as a people—is just… absent.
Before I met Jesus, I didn’t even know what “right relationship” was. I just knew what I was experiencing and what I was settling for—wasn’t it. And here’s the thing: these relationships—romantic, platonic, even family—were “good” by most people’s standards. I promise I’m not some overly picky, my-food-can’t-touch kind of gal!
But… something was off.

As I grew in emotional intelligence and self-awareness, that feeling never went away.
Even with all that growth, it felt like I was just scratching the surface of what life—and real connection—were supposed to be.
There had to be more. Something deeper. Something meaningful.

The world gives us a formula:
Chase success. Hustle harder. Climb the ladder. Don’t just keep up with the Joneses—get ahead of them. Work hard. Play harder. Be the most attractive—or the wealthiest—or, if you’re really winning, both. And whatever you do, get there fast. Find someone equally impressive, someone who checks all the boxes and adds to the aesthetic. Post the vacation. Buy the house you can barely afford. Drive the car that turns heads—even if it comes with more stress. Perfect the image. Build the brand. Secure the bag.
And maybe—just maybe—you’ll finally feel fulfilled.

Honestly? I’m exhausted just typing that.

And the Joneses? Let’s be real—they don’t even look that happy.
They’re spinning on the same hamster wheel, posturing and performing like everyone else.

I’m willing to bet you’ve felt it too—that quiet question: Is this really all there is? I couldn’t quite name what was missing or why the absence felt so loud… But I knew one thing for sure:
Whatever it was, the world wasn’t offering it.

So here’s what I’ve found—and it’s really good news:
There’s another way to live.

A life not driven by pressure, achievement, or anxiety.
Not fueled by fear of failure, buried unworthiness, or the need to prove something.
Not centered on squeezing meaning out of moments, people, or accomplishments.

But a life anchored in peace. In joy. In true love and lasting purpose.
The kind the highlight reel can’t touch.

The thing we’re all longing for?
It’s love. That’s the missing piece.
But not just any love—not the version we’ve been sold or the kind we try to manufacture.

It’s God’s love.

I’ve realized we can’t experience the fullness of life, love, or connection without knowing the One who is Love. Without Him, we’re stuck trying to fill soul-deep gaps with surface-level stuff: The “success.” The car. The house. The relationship. But only He can fill what’s missing. Embracing His love sets forth a whole new way to live; one that unlocks what it is we think we’re missing. It’s not until we let His love in that everything begins to shift. His love doesn’t just fill the gaps—it redefines what we think we need in the first place. If you’ve ever felt like something’s missing, that’s what.

Jesus said:

I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
— John 14:27 (NLT)

What we’re missing for can’t be bought, won, or curated.
We only catch glimpses of it here because it’s spiritual.
It’s Him.

Jesus is the source of the peace, security, and satisfaction we keep trying to earn.
And praise God because He offers it freely.

There’s a different kind of life available to us—
One where serving God becomes our why.
Where obedience brings real freedom.
Where we no longer carry the weight of life alone, because we have a BIG God who carries it for us.

Since meeting Jesus, my life—and the priorities that drive it—have been completely reoriented. In the best and most unexpected ways. We’ll go deeper into what that actually looks like—the shifts, the struggles, the beauty, and the blessings.

But for today, just know this:

You don’t have to live the way the world tells you to.
There is another way.
And it leads to real life
Even better, to eternal life.
